Satellites built by Reshetnev Company form the cornerstone of Russian Satellite Communication Company fleet with 10 out 12 satellites supplied by Reshetnev Company. RSCC has recently awarded Reshetnev Company with a contract for a new telecommunication satellite, Express-AMU4, which is currently under construction. The satellite is based on the qualified and flight proven Express-1000 medium-sized platform modified so as to ensure replacement of imported components. Reshetnev Company will also supply the satellite with an inhouse built payload.
In orbit fleet replenishment with advanced satellites furnished by Reshetnev Company enables the satellite operators to smoothly transition to domestic satellite capacities which is an important prerequisite for the country’s technological self-sufficiency.
